A huge well done and Congratulations to our West Midlands Partnerships team who have this week won the Silver Considerate Constructors Scheme 2020 National Site Award at Arden Quarter, Stratford-Upon-Avon.
The scheme which took just over 2-years to build for Orbit Homes comprises a 102 bed extra care facility, 29 houses, 3 separate apartment blocks providing 58 apartments and a retail element.
With a total of 189 dwellings for sale, shared ownership and rental the scheme provides a rich mixed-tenure housing scheme offering real choice to the customer including a number of much needed affordable homes. The scheme is situated next to Stratford train station and within a 5-minute walk of the historic Stratford-upon-Avon town centre. The development is a fantastic example of Vistry Partnerships regeneration and mixed-use expertise; in this case converting land which was previously an old cattle market into a prime development whilst contending with and overcoming challenging urban site logistics, planning constraints, ground contamination and neighbouring stakeholders including a highway running through site, neighbouring hotel, hospital and train station.
Darren Beale, Regional Director commented; “I’d like to say a huge well done to everyone who worked on this project. You don’t win awards like these without enormous amounts of team effort and willingness. A special thanks goes to the site team – Howard Evans, Saqib Amin, Tim Clayton, Oliver Jempson, Kevin Mckinny, Rob Vining, Darren Brooks, Stuart Ray, Diane McCaffrey. Lee Everett and Matt Grinell.”
