The Aspens

The Aspens, the second phase of development at Birtley, Gateshead, forms part of a 20 year, ambitious £350m programme designed to transform the quality and choice of housing within Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

The project, which has also created community facilities and public spaces – is led by the Gateshead Regeneration Partnership (GRP), which includes Vistry Partnerships North East, Gateshead Council and Home Group.

Some of the UK’s most innovative residential architects were commissioned to deliver strikingly designed properties which are ideally located, next to central transport routes connecting to the region’s major cities and towns.

All of the homes delivered through the GRP JV have exceeded current space and design standards. They also meet Lifetime Homes, Code for Sustainable Homes, Secure by Design and Homes and Community Association regulations.
