Vistry Partnerships are delighted to be working closely with Midland Heart to deliver 120 homes at Spon Lane in Grendon on a 50/50 basis.

The site is some 6.75 Hectares located at Spon Lane in Grendon, North Warwickshire and was acquired with the benefit of an outline planning permission for 120 homes.

An existing recently completed new development of 85 homes lies adjacent to the proposed development site.

Grendon is ideally located close to major roads and transport networks which serves close by local towns such as Tamworth, Atherstone and is within commuting distance to some of the region’s major cities such as Leicester, Coventry and Birmingham.

Upon competition the homes for affordable rent, shared ownership and open market sale will be sold by Vistry Partnerships housing arm Linden Homes.

As well as providing much needed homes for the local area, the proposal will also deliver green public open space, children’s play facilities, links across the site to serve the existing development as well as providing connectivity to the existing public right of way.

Vistry Partnerships Divisional Managing Director James Warrington said: “This is a large mixed tenure development opportunity for us in Grendon with great links to major nearby Cities. It represents a significant contribution to the new-build local housing market in the area and were delighted to be able to work with Midland Heart on it.”

Midland Heart’s 60 properties will all be much-needed two, three and four bedroom houses at affordable rent or for shared ownership, enabling local people to get on to the property ladder at a cost within their budget.

The total cost of the Midland Heart scheme will be almost £10.6m, including a grant from Homes England of £468,000.
