Vistry Partnerships appoints North and Midlands Finance Lead
Leading regeneration business Vistry Partnerships has appointed Sarah Cooper as Divisional Finance Director for the Midlands and North.
An influential figure on new development in these regions, Sarah holds more than 14 years’ housebuilding and development experience working with housing providers, local authorities and Homes England.
Sarah joins the business at an exciting time – Partnerships has recently launched Project 6000, an ambitious objective to build 6000 homes a year by 2022 – and she will focus on supporting these regional Business Units to drive profit and manage cashflow.
In a unique rise to senior leadership, Sarah started her career at 18, working her way through the ranks at Kier Group, amongst other roles, becoming a Finance Director.
Sarah has a wealth of experience working with regional Business Units, establishing large joint ventures and working with Homes England.
Commenting, Sarah said:
“I’ve joined Partnerships at a really exciting time – our Midlands and Northern teams are going to play an integral role in our Project 6000 strategy and I am delighted to have the opportunity to affect real change in the housing market, driving quality regeneration and the delivery of mixed tenure homes.
“I’m impressed by the business’ commitment to encourage more women into the industry, and I think I am proof that you don’t always have to take the traditional route – if you are ambitious and determined then your talents will allow you to progress.”
James Warrington, Divisional Managing Director Midlands and North, added:
“Our Midlands and North Business Units are spearheading growth nationally, and Sarah will play an important role for us as we deliver our current pipeline whilst looking to establish new partnerships with housing providers and local authorities across these regions.”
