Regeneration specialist Vistry Partnerships has exchanged contracts with Homes England to build 80 affordable homes on a site at Kingsdown, Bridgwater.

The 100% affordable homes scheme is situated to the north of the vibrant market town, whilst also being located near the Quantock Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The site benefits from outline planning consent thanks to earlier work by Homes England to unlock the potential of the land. Vistry Partnerships will now work in partnerships with Registered Provider Stonewater to develop the proposals, with works planned to commence in early 2021.

The Bridgwater site is one of six across the country where Vistry Partnerships has recently exchanged contracts with Homes England.  This nationwide portfolio will deliver more than 570 much needed new homes, including more than 400 affordable homes.

Craig Currie, Managing Director of Vistry Partnerships West, said:

“We are absolutely committed to building quality, affordable homes in areas where they are needed most, and this 100% affordable homes scheme will make a major impact to the affordable homes provision for the area, giving local people a genuine opportunity to find a new home. We’ll be working closely with Stonewater to develop the proposals in the coming months.”
